I like this a lot. It put me in mind of Gaiman's Stardust. Setting loose a Holmes and Watson (of any incarnation and given a bit of a Magical nudge as you've done here) into that fabulous fantasy world would be really interesting.

I love how you've presented Holmes's ability to catch a falling star as simply another thing which he does really well but is genuinely super impressive to both Watson and the reader.
