The thing about wandering far afield in my quest for icons is that I keep wandering into interesting conversations, both good and bad. We played Authors cardgame when I was very young, which as I recall included English and American authors. My father loved American literature, and this was so very long ago that that did not mean twentieth century. Except for Sandburg.
