I took up knitting early December 2005 after a lunch out with my mother. I needed retail therapy, so I got off the T at Harvard Square and decided to wander through the Harvard Coop. They had knitting kits for sale, big yarn, big needles, instructions - everything I thought I'd need - and I bought one. By the time Greg came home that night, I was knitting away, pretty much done with the scarf. I wouldn't have started with gnomi's example and joy in knitting, though - I don't want her wonderful contribution to be overlooked.
I'm strong? Wow, I don't think of myself that way. Thank you for that, and for the other praise. I'm so glad that you gave the Palmer/Webb stories a chance. I still love Palmer a lot, and I suspect that he's creeping into the original characters stories, but as long as I can keep him from killing anyone unworthy, it'll be fine. :-)
