WIP.... last one before Anime North

This is the very last drawing I absolutely need to finish for Anime North. I have 2 days to finish not only this but everything else that needs to be prepared. I know, I know, some will think I was all last minute, but I swear I wasn't! I think I just took a little bit too much on my plate. There is not really much left to do, except for this

Very pretty and very etherial, only thing I'd say for color test is maybe some kind of rosy pink color added in with all the blue/greens/whites/purples. But oh so pretties! Man, now I'm guilted about lack of painting/drawing since senior studio ended XD

I did add a bit of pink in the test, but I think becasue of the pencils it looks more purply. X3 but since I want a light purple, chances are that I will do a layer of blue and then a layer of pink so get the range of colours I need for the final painting. I'm thinking the original will probably have more blue-green also and the lines of the lady will not be black. They will be most likely a mix of blue and purple to enhance the etheral look. =)

Wow, fancy!! Super technique!! But I think "Priestess of Rosewood" is still my favourite. :3 There's something about her pose that is just so captivating...

I'm trying to finish up last minute stuff too! AAAAAAAH!

Thank you! Hopefully I will be able to get to colours right when I do the watercolour. There is something no exactly correct in the photoshop color, one of which is that the lady will not have black lines. I think it will change the mood of the pic a lot when I am done.

But I think the Priestess is still ma favourite right now too. X3

So, do you always do a CG colour test before you start painting?

I do a CG test more and more now. Most of the time I do it if I am not sure of the colour scheme at all, or if (like with this one) I am tight on time and don't want to screw up (because watercolour has this really bad side to which, you can't eraser or cover. If you miss... you miss X3).

But as you probably saw with the final results, it's mostly a reference but nothing final. I'm bound to change a few things as I go. Sometimes, I only do a shading study.
