Just like a night of heavy binge drinking, is burnout inevitable?

As the time has moved along I have began to feel the effects of burnout at my job. I get no joy from anything that I do here, even payday comes with a shrug. No joy comes from anything I do here. I don't help people, I sit in the basement, no sun, no interaction, no smiles... nothing. People can say I have it easy sitting at a desk all day, but
