Title: Childhood Prompt: childhood Bonus? N Word Count: 113 Rating: T Original/Fandom: Naruto Pairings (if any): none Warnings (Non-Con/Dub-Con etc): none Summary: Hashirama's childhood was a brief thing, and he knew the exact day it ended.
This is an interesting look at the perils of being a child soldier. On a very basic level, when a child is forced to fight it obviously does signal the end of their innocence. But I like how it seems that Hashirama almost consciously makes the decision to end his childhood because if he stayed a child he wouldn't survive. The whole situation isn't his choice or his making, but the will to live through the war is definitely his.
