Heh, you're the third (fourth?) person who want's to know *more* about what happens after. I'm not sure if I can figure that out, but would like to try. And thanks *very* much for your comment :)

I enjoyed it very much. Good stories should leave a reader wanting more. Don't feel obligated to give it.

Not being a regular with S&H fanfic, I'm reading in a vacuum, but this is a clear piece, giving me the feelings very strongly, even making me want to read more. Mostly, I enjoy reading your writing. Very nicely executed, just enough to get right into the emotion. Good work, Ea.

I took the liberty of deleting you 'anonymous' reply (doubt you mind :) Thank you for the comments, and Rick, with you, I'm now up to number nine (with zero against) who questions what would happen then and wants to read more. I must have done something right then :)

I really loved this phrase: strangled love.

Seemed to sum it all up.

And love Starsky knowing when to be 'Starsky-ish' and when to hold back and just be there.

Aw shucks, gee, *shuffles feet* Thank you :) "Strangled love" is one of those rare lines/phrases that pops unexpectedly into my head as I write - I don't always understand them, but I have a special affinity for them, so I love that you picked that out. And thanks for understanding that I think that while Starsky is often impulsive, he's not unsensitive or unable to react to circumstances, hence being able to just be there.

Hi Ea - if this works, I figured out how to leave comments.
This was very strong, full of unspoken depths that hint of all the emotional baggage Hutch still has in his heart from his past, his upbringing and his family. I like how he knows that Starsky understands that, and how Starsky doesn't try to solve anything, but is content just to be there.
Escaping from it all tomorrow will be a relief to them both, once they have endured the evening. But perhaps now he's got Starsky, Hutch will be able to learn some new ways to cope, so that it won't be so bad in the future.
