Mushrooms Collapse

So on Thursday morning, the mushrooms were already collapsing, including some that had been yellowish healthy-looking nubbins yesterday:

Those are adorable; I love the little knobs on top.

They are cute, aren't they. I didn't touch 'em once they started going sort of old-bruise color, because...I dunno, just didn't want to.

I love watching mushrooms grow and disappear; sometimes in the a matter of hours.

Recycling nutrients...some plants may be able to snag the components out of the dead ones before the next bunch starts growing. But probably the mushrooms' own cycle depends more on moisture and temperature than who just died.
