I thought lj-cut didn't work because I was looking at preview, which apparently shows all content regardless of cuts.  Clicking instead on "recent entries" shows everything as it appears to a different user, and this showed the lj-cut.  I may have to explain myself for other reasons in the future, but I hope I'm done on this particular subject. 

I swear to you, at first the cut didn't work, so I wrote the mea culpa, and when I posted it, the cut on the first one worked.  Now my wife is mocking me, and while there's nothing new about that, it usually doesn't happen online.  Oh well, I'll go ahead and post something really long, and trust that it will be properly cut, eventually.  I'm about ( Read more... )

Clearly I'm doing something wrong, and I haven't found anything in the help files that shed light, so I'll back off until it all makes sense to me.
