This is particularly shitty when you have a small child who's terrified of those animatronic Halloween decorations. At this point we can't take her to the grocery store or the Fred Meyer between August and the beginning of November without triggering a complete freakout. It's a complete nuisance.

She went into hysterics in Costco today, even though we'd had a conversation in the parking lot about how the decorations are just pretend, etc. etc.

I only remember this because of the date I moved to Chicago, but I remember thinking the exact same thing in 1998. I've never noticed it that early since, although I'm sure I blocked it out.

I've been working on Halloween Horror Nights for Universal for at least 3 months already. We started prelim discussions about it back in February. Our main load in for sound starts in about 2 weeks.

Well, yeah. That makes sense - it's a huge undertaking. This is cheap merch in a drugstore. Which I know has been sitting in the store room since April, but still.

oh my god, that was true last year too! I was in tennessee in august and we went to big lots, and they had two aisles devoted to cheap halloween tat!

...I totally bought a skull, though, not gonna lie.
