Yessir, it's been 6 months since I decided to take a header off of a veranda. Another 10 days, and it will have been 6 months since my surgery to correct the damage caused by said header. 2 titanium plates, countless Percosets, and half a year later, I am here. Now I get to go to the doc and find out if any nasssssty bloodborne illnesses found ( Read more... )

Plans? I need to have plans for this weekend? Crap, I knew I was forgetting something. There's an SCA event about 4 hours from me that I'm going to pass on. I think I'm going to do laundry and clean up my place some and wander in the city a bit, maybe meet some friends for drinks on a patio. Might catch a movie. I've seen Hitchhiker's Guide and enjoyed it. I may give Kingdom of Heaven a try. Pretty slack weekend, but my weekends will be filled with SCA activities soon enough.

I hope your rehearsal goes well!

Housewarming party on Saturday. Laundry, errands and whatnot fills out the rest.

Moving StY out of the apartment and back into our house. He's packing up his stuff today. Tomorrow he gets to help H pack up the room here. Despite all my pleas, arguments, offers to help, to do it for him, H has used the room as a closet--clothes in stacks and piles, everywhere, and also piles of indeterminate "stuff" in corners on the floor. So tomorrow they clear that out, and Sunday StY moves back in. Maybe I'll get a haircut in there somewhere. And we have two Netflix to watch and send back.

My life. Just a social whirl.

I'm with sowilo: a thank-you note is never late. I sent one to Ruth Cavin thirteen years after Plainsong came out, and have a book deal as a result.

Me, weekend? Painting kitchen baseboards. Editing my first pass proofs of "Matty Groves". Fleeing for my sanity on Sunday, because it's Bay to Breakers.
