Lately I seem to have lost my taste for red meat--or at least, beef. There are ethical and health reasons, but they never bothered me (much) before when the craving for bloody steak hit three or four times a year. Instead of beef, I've been wanting grilled salmon and chicken, tons of it.

The carb cravings never seem to go away, and can usually be held at bay with a small serving of long-grain Thai rice, steamed, served with a dash of salt and sweet butter. No messing with my rice or eggs, thanks.

The eggs I can take or leave. And sugar--as long as I don't eat it, I don't crave it.

Why can't I crave vegables, hmm? The one thing I need to eat tons of, and I'd rather, oh, scrub toilets or floors than mess with veg prep. It's so futile, because no matter what you do to them, in the end you still have veg. Ech.

ah, but some veggies are so tasty! Like artichoke hearts (non-marinated)!

I'm with you on the sugar. As long as I'm not in front of it, I'm fine.

Oh, I always crave chocolate. Sometimes I jsut pretend the candy aisle in the grocery store doesn't exist.

Lately I've been craving black bean burritos. I don't know if it's the beans or the salsa.
