The problem with a viable third party is Congress. Whatever party has the majority of votes chairs all the senate and house committees - and that effectively decides who legislates America.

Exactly. It would take a revamping of the current system. Since the Left can't afford it and the Right will not, we won't get a third party for a while.

I'm just trying to remind my Libertarian and Independent brethren of that fact. I was an Independent for many many years. I can't afford to be any more.
