The back-of-the-room speaker was, in fact, me. It was so much worse to hear that story spoken -- the urgency in the "JUST SHUT UP, you're going to get a bullet in the back. JUST SHUT UP." Hersh was trying to save this kid's life, and he didn't like his chances at all.
