Update-y thingy.

Some days, I wish I could be as hysterically hyper and random as datlowen. But then I realize that that would take too much energy. I'll settle for the random, I guess.

Anyway....

Ran yesterday morning. It was good, and it was fast. The problem was that someone fell into pace 5 steps behind me, making me feel like a rabbit. (The race kind, not the ( Read more... )

Now I'm hearing "Living la vida Boheme" which is wrong on many a level. calligrafiti April 8 2004, 06:56:47 UTC
Anyway, I'm glad the apartment search is going fairly well. Are the walls between you and the other apartments good and solid? Those would be harder to fix than interior stuff.

Since you're doing so much running, is the ability to soak your legs in a tub fairly important? I've never gotten my own mileage up high enough to matter, but I can see where it would be a concern for a more serious runner.

Good luck with the whole housing situation.

I do consider the tub a serious loss. But we're running out of time, and it is a good deal.

So, we might try to find a bench or something so I can at least sit. Or we might find an old-school tub that can be filled up, and bring it into the room whenever I need a soak. Or we might spend a small fortune on Tiger Balm.

The building interior walls are extremely solid. No problems there, luckily.

The place sounds fabulous. Will your new household include combined cats?

See, this is me, wondering last year if Z's cats missed you, if you got to see them, and being all yippy about your getting a cat of your own. I am just a tad more bonded with TC than I am with most people in my life. We were actually discussing this yesterday. I have one friend who admits she loves her cat more, in a strange connected way, than her spouse or her children.

Yes.

I completely understand. :)

We will be combining cats. My Damien with his Daisy and Hank. The good thing is that Damien will now have cats to play with while his humans are away. The bad thing is he and Daisy are both extremely smart, and the battle for Alpha will probably be protracted. Also, Daisy is a fairly anti-social cat. Hank is just a giant scaredy-cat, so I'm assuming lots of under-the-couch time for him.

Sounds like it has potential. At least the shower is big -- my brother and GF's house had a brown tiled shower with a really high thingy to step over and it was so small the GF couldn't shave her legs in it.

Hope it works out, and can't wait to see pics after you've had your wicked way with it.

I'm jealous of the big shower, but then, I never take baths. :)

And duuuuuude, how much fun would a party that had you and me and smonster at it be? SO MUCH FUN, I tell you!

Hey. Found your LJ through MPS Goth. Just skimming to see who is neat.

Wanted to say hi and also I'm in the general area you're looking to move into (I'm on Lake of the Isles). Good location over all in terms of things to do, and just an overall atmosphere.

K. Done now.

Twisp and Catsby are my favorite comic characters ever.

And agreed with the running. In the late spring to early fall I try to run it every other day.
