So, does anyone have an opinion on Cingular's service? It seems that I will be involuntarily switching over to them - provided the Cingular - AT&T Wireless merger makes it past the regulatory boards. Hmmph.

In other news, I'm still recovering from last week. Daisy opened well, but damn, it was exhausting. The theater doesn't have an intercom, ( Read more... )

I switched to Cingular from AT&T Wireless, and the guy at the counter made noises about how AT&T wasn't long for this world. I ignored him because I already hated AT&T, and he couldn't really be trusted.

Cingular's been WAY better to me than AT&T ever was, in California.

AT&T has been okay, but I haven't had to deal with them very much. Maybe Cingular will have a sweet deal or two when it switches over....

Is the Cingular/AT&T thing a done deal? As of this morning, I think British Vodaphone was still bidding on it.

Vodaphone just pulled out. So, now they have to get regulatory and stockholder approval.

As a customer, I don't really care. As someone who is very nervous about the consolidation of media and communications companies, I'm a wee bit cranky.

Yeah. I mean, there are still 5 others, so I'm not totally worried. And I have a soft spot in my heart for Cingular, even though I'm on Sprint. I make no representations about their service, though.

I have cingular, and have had them for about 4 years. I've had a few little problems, but mostly I've been very pleased with them. I love that my left-ovef minutes get rolled over. I think they're the only company that does this...although, I could be totally wrong about that.

I feel similarly to you IRT Angel. I haven't even watched the last few eps. I just keep myself spoiled so I know the plotlines.
