Let's face it, I'm not going to read an entire book tonight. And I really wanted an excuse to use my new icon. So here's April's list. I'm reading a lot more this year, which I guess is no surprise.
It was excellent! And gave me some thoughts on close in third person narrative... I was surprised that some people didn't care for it on Library Thing and Good Reads. I found it quite effective, and perhaps all the more so for having lived on the upper West Side in the late 1970s -- I knew -exactly- where they were talking. I knew Zabars, and the funky Chinese place, and what it was like to walk over to Riverside Park. All part of the joy for me!
I did, quite a bit. I found the continual mooning for his off-page lost love a little tiresome after awhile, but not enough to get in my way. And, I hope, that plays a more meaningful part in the second book which I haven't picked up.
The premise was a lot of fun, and while it got a tad bloody, I was pleased with how it all turned out.
