March books

As you can see, a tad heavy on the Pratchett. Not surprising.  The good thing is, I'm not sure I remember what some of these books were about, so I think I'll be good to read them again.  I did find a couple of Pratchetts too difficult to read, so I had to set aside "Night Watch" and "Mort."  Just not the thing for the time.

My gratitude to ironymaiden for the ( Read more... )

I like the early Amelia Peabody quite a bit -- after about the third book it began to drag for me. But I do love the first few.

I've read the first couple of Soulless with amusement. Parasols! Werewolves! Derigables! Oh my. Not sure I can take more though.
Pratchett witches books are my companions just now.
If all else fails I might read The Black Stallion.

The witches books are lots of fun -- although I prefer the Ankh-Morpork books. There's just something about a city for me...

I'm enjoying the witches but I've not read the Ahnk-Moorpork books, yet. I've got lots to look forward to.

Have you read Pratchett's Tiffany Aching series? It's YA but very cool. I'd suggest avoiding _The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents_ for now, though.

I haven't picked up _Snuff_ yet (waiting for the paperback), but I look forward to it eagerly.

I read Wintersmith, which I liked quite a bit, but nothing else.

I've been picking them up as e-books, which has worked out quite well.

I read Soulless but never read beyond the first book. I found it amusing but not sustaining. Right now I'm reading Stephen King's 11/22/63. I'm a sucker for a good time travel tale and should be through it this weekend.
