SF has always felt like home to me. I've been visiting there since I was a wee thing--often on my birthday which tends to be quite lovely in SF--later we lived there. I know the streets intimately, the hidden stairs, the secret parks, the wild birds, the seal haunts and the sunken ships. I know where you go to see ghosts dressed in buttoned dresses, hats, and gloves. I know where the mummies are the lost manuscripts, the hidden dead and the best ice cream. Feels like home to me.
We have said hello for you to those parts of SF that we were at -- there is never enough time in that wonderful city. Such a fabulous place! Of course you love it! I don't know how anyone can not fall in love with it.
