Self Promotion for the Campbell Award

I understand that it is my job to do this. I am hopeful that I will grow more graceful, or at least feel less awkward, about this as I go along.  In the meantime, I feel rather as if I'm plunging into cold water dotted with ice cubes...

I understand that Gordon put up my story for consideration for the prelims for the Nebula

Self-promotion is always awkward, isn't it? I've never done much of it, and I've wondered if I'd be happier if I'd done more. Sometimes you have to ask for what you want.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I do find self-promotion awkward. I wish I didn't, because it's not like I don't think it's a good story. I suspect that there's something in our upbringing that tells us it's bad to call attention to ourselves. Silly upbringing.
