I am working in environment with 90% of the community are ladies. Yes, I am in the Account Payable section in Accounts Department. Worst, I am the only guy, young guy, in the section. I am surrounded with 8 ladies giving me works to do. I am just a temporary office boy so I have to help out everybody in the office.

Personally I like your answer, which is exactly the answer I would have given back as well.

However good answer aside, I feel its pretty rude of your colleagues to ask such a thing or even attempt to lighten up such a derogatory insinuation.

Just ask the girls how would they like if you tell that they are so manly. See how they would feel about it.

It's not about pretending to be someone or being true to yourself. It's a matter of respect. Asking politely and dropping "funny" remarks about my behaviour isn't exactly respectful.

Next time... really... drop this too to them... "you very manly leh!" and then SMILE.
