Hey, that's okay. Write all you want. We're all coping in our own ways. :)

I don't even care about baseball, but this post made me very sad.

And I agree with you about "changing one's mind" -- though I'm still not a Kerry fan.

I'm not hugely pro-Kerry by any means, I'm more anyone-but-Bush, like my friend fahreeq down there.

While I've gotcha (and of course I told Elizabeth about my offer to you), is there any word from work about next weekend?

Grr, I'm so ticked. They scheduled me for the usual weekend crap and I didn't even notice until now. I'm going to have to call them. >:( So I don't know.

i have to say, that the post was touching despite my lack of interest in baseball. i can't imagine how i'd feel if one of my teams was going. i'm glad you got to be there at any rate. and your pictures are great!

Thanks. You know, I'm kind of happy for the fans in Washington who're getting a team, but I just hope they realize that they're stealing from another city to get one.

Posts (and writing like this) remind us why we went to school to be writers...

I was touched.

If you're talking about the presidential debates, I know *exactly* what you mean. Sheesh.

That's just what I was talking about. I mean, really, it's better to have someone who'll sacrifice a country, just out of pigheadedness?

Depends if you think it is pigheadedness or not. The majority of this country still thinks Bush has a better idea of how to keep us safe in general. For that portion of America, it isn't pigheadedness, it's "resolve."

Same goes for Kerry. About half the population (give or take...the polls change every day) thinks he's weak because he can't make up his mind. The other half thinks that is some sort of sign of maturity, that he can admit he was wrong.

Except that Kerry has never admitted he was wrong, he's just spun it in some sort of "I was duped" fashion that leaves him an easy way out. Same with Bush...of course it wasn't his fault, it was somebody else's fault entirely ( ... )

The thing is, the Republicans haven't let up with the flip-flopper stuff. And referring to someone who changes his mind as a flip-flopper is the same as if the Democrats started calling GWB 'pig-headed'. Neither label is entirely accurate. But the Democrats haven't resorted to that yet.

But, if that's how you really feel about the two candidates - that neither is especially enticing - why don't you vote for a third party candidate? I've seen where there are about a dozen or 14 candidates on the ballots in various states. Maybe the Libertarian Party's more up your alley?
