What does it say about our society today that if you go to a comedy club and get insulted in a way that you don't like, you file a complaint? This is something that honestly would never have crossed my mind, but then again, I'm also a white male, so maybe I should shut my yap.
But that's how I feel - if someone insults me, I just know not to hang around them in the future. Or, if a stand-up comedian insults me, I'm either going to avoid shows where the comedian is performing in the future, or I'll tell the club manager that as long as he keeps booking this guy, I'm not going to return.
This is something that the government just shouldn't be brought into, on any level.
