I watched The Lion King for the first time last night. (Yes. Really.) I actually enjoyed it, but I don't understand why the American Family Association made a stink about the alleged subliminal message that no one can see unless maybe the image is paused, when later in the movie, there's a scene of Nala on her back totally inviting Simba right ( Read more... )

Heh - I knew one of my friends had a Lion King icon, but couldn't remember who. :)

AHAHH! I never laughed so hard at The Lion King before watching it with you...it was also my first time watching it in a state of unsobriety, lol. ;) That scene was TOO much. I had NO memory of it being so damn suggestive. Omfg. That was too awesome. I`m sure Lion King was made by furries. AND I`m gonna pull a Seinfeld here to be super-safe to not offend and say: "Not that there`s anything wrong with that!"
LOL. ;)

Ah, nice! I took a quick look around when I was making the post, but couldn't find it. I'm gonna take this and stick it in the actual entry!

I didn't even know there was a big stink about a supposed subliminal message. Maybe I'm an idiot...but I can't even read SFX, let alone SEX, in those stars.

Yeah, I think it's a bit of a stretch to see it, too. I mean, I can see it, but if someone just showed me that picture without telling me to look for it, I don't think I would.
