I've taken that SAME pic from the oratory! lol GAWD I miss Montreal! Going a year and a half without visiting is not normal for me at all. :-(

Do you have some uber-zoom? I haven't seen the view from the first pic on the mountain. Where were you standing when you took it?

For some obsessive-compulsive reason I take a picture of the second view of College Notre-Dame and beyond every single time I go to the Oratory. It's not like the view changes frequently :)

The first picture was just taken from the space in front of the Chalet. I've seen probably dozens of pictures taken from there. It's a pretty well-known spot. :)

Chalet? (I'm not a Montreal native. I get there about 4-5 times a year)

Yeah, as far as I know, it's just called "the Chalet". When you're on the mountain, there are directional signs to most of the things up there (Beaver Lake, the cross...) and one of the things is just "the Chalet". It's marked on some commercial maps, too - again just as "Chalet" or something similar.
