I love the expression on his face. I can imagine dark tones are hard. everything could potentially end up one black blur

thanks! indeed, that's what I feared, I had to use lighter base tones to be able to show shadows later. otherwise it would be just a black page with occasional lighter spots. and that wouldn't be exciting><

Here I was taking a quick look around LJ and I found this!
I love it when you try new things and I'm sure this was a pain to draw, but you have to admit it was worth the work. I remember you complaining about markers on twitter, is this the case?
I really love it, you really should draw this character more often, not for me, but for yourself. Each character you created is a part of you so you shouldn't neglect any of them. Just show them off girl, they deserve it!
