I hiked! Me!!

Today I went hiking. OMG I was so unprepared for it!!!!! Wow am I not in shape! ha haa! I had a ton of fun, but my body aches now in places I didn't know I had! I went with Lisa from work and her kids, and L's daughter. Heh. I used to love to hike, but I'm not built for it and the arthritis has made it nearly impossible now. :<

I'm glad you had fun... and good luck with the weight loss regimen. I know how difficult that can be. I think I've put on and lost more weight than a Boeing over the years and am back into trying to lose again, too.

Of course working at the USPS helps. So far I've lost more than 10 lbs since being hired. LoL.

The nice thing is, a good cardio workout like that will get your stamina back up quickly. When I joined the gym, I couldn't do more than 10 minutes on an elliptical machine. Within a month, I was doing 30 minutes without exhausting myself.

Also, don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat. Take your measurements when you start out. You might not see any weight lose as you convert fat to lean muscle. But you'll see when you lose inches. Another bonus. Lean muscle burns calories more efficiently, so the more you convert, the faster you'll burn off the fat! Ain't science great?
