I was watching an episode the other night about this dude being the new kid....and how he wanted his identity back when the "king"{I guess that's what u call him.} of the 6th grade called him out......the old new kid got his name back. LOL! How are u gonna be still considered the new kid even after a few years..I think 3 to be exact.

"because it's amazing how some TV shows reflect our society the way they do."

I agree. Especially a cartoon. It tripped me out how anti-capitalist that episode was. I'm surprised they allowed little kids to see it. lol We don't want little kids thinking independently and we definitely don't want them thinking there are any negative sides to capitalism. Although if they are in certain groups, they already know because they live it!

"Of course, if they wanted to REALLY reflect what our kids go through at school, they would have all of the after school programs cut, teachers would be on strike and there would be no computers in the classrooms."I mean, for serious, Dave. That is, unless you could afford private school. But I mean, those of us who went to public school still have all the same oppurtunities and resources as those who went to private school, right? And it's just a coincidence that certain people can afford private school while others can't, right? And anyone who thinks different is only saying that because they're too lazy ( ... )

Wow, you know what's funny, Dave? I hadn't heard about Nicholas Berg, only the incidents at Abu Ghraib (and was more shocked at how people were shocked over the photos. I mean, do folks thing was prisoners are sitting in hotel rooms ordering room service? Granted we may not think people are stupid/sexually frustrated/crazy enough to make them strip and put them in weird compromising positions, but why be shocked by it? I mean, I find it really hypocritical that it's cool to kill people in war, but if you capture them, there are suddenly "rules of conduct." Where were the rules for the people that were killed? The ones "fortunate enough" to be shot instead of tortured and humiliated?)

Ok that was the longest segue EVER! lol Lemme try and get back on track....

OK! lol I never heard about Nick, only the mistreatment of the Iraqi prisoners in Abu Ghairb (always feel like I'm misspelling that lol), but I DID see the pic of Nick. I don't remember where, but I know both times I saw it, I didn't see any references to what it was and I just ( ... )
