Probably because their supervisors don't even know, they just got a blanket call from some authority to tell them to staff extra people and just.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh our country is so fucked up!

I'd use that "Canada is nice this time of year" line, but I think the terrorists are going after them, too.

Yeah, but even if the supervisors for FDNY don't know, somebody knows. And THAT'S the problem.

The thing is...if nothing happened. Maybe it WAS prrevented?

I actually do think it's a good idea to give a heads up to the FDNY while trying to prevent something. It'd be worse to be so cocky to think "oh, we don't need to tell the FDNY anything...we can handle it." Why do one or the other, when you can do both?

I almost envy the amount of faith you have in our government. I doubt anything was prevented. Maybe more like postponed. But really what I'm trying to convey is that our government knows about (and most likely aids) things that occur here that we wouldn't even DREAM of them knowing about. And that one occurrence is enough to make me question all of their motives (I say this as if I'd never done that before). Basically for them to know something is gonna happen, they'd have to have their hands in it.
