I just had a conversation with a friend of mine and wanted to get some other opinions. This is actually something I've wanted to ask about/speak on before, but now I just have some motivation. In your opinion, is masturbation a sin? Please explain your answer. (lol Don't I make this seem like a test? I'm all "show your work on the scrap paper")

Now that's a REALLY good point. If it's a "sin" would god frown upon those who did it in their sleep unvoluntarily? That wouldn't make sense.

That's my entire point. I think it's based on instincts as natural as hunger. And we don't think eating is a sin, so why would this be one?

Hmmm thanks for that link, Sean. It was kinda helpful. The funny thing about the bible, though is that it (like any other written work) is subject to interpretation. Which is why I was asking for everyone's opinions. Are you saying you agree with all that they said? I think some of it was cool, but a few of the other parts don't sit too well with me.

Nope, I don't agree with *everything* they said. I'm still trying to formulate a stance on it myself...
