What do you do when you have subordinates that think that they know so much when they actually know nothing. They complained about you ordering them around but in actuality, if I do not order them around - they won't be doing anything. I can't be a judge on your (or your interns') competence but your spelling leaves much to be desired. Privilege, not previledge. Teach your interns so they learn from their mistakes. Don't become like every other Malaysian/Singaporean MO and just scold them (because you were probably scolded when you were an intern). It just perpetuates itself and they will do the same thing when they become MOs and specialists.

sorry. I was writing that in anger. A patient died needlessly because of a mistake and I was the one who broke the news to the family. The family did not take it well. I try not to scold them but somehow I kept finding them disregarding my orders or the things that I teach them if I don't. Nevertheless, it's a lesson for both me and my interns
