Well, it's just, as much as he hates his city he also so clearly loves it, because he fights for it (in his way) and he was the only one who wept for it, in the end. It's maybe the only thing in the world that's his. So of course he'd never just leave it.
You are evil. Because you make me read things I usually don't read - and you make them so good and so believable, that I enjoy them far more than I should. I love Gaiman. I love Watchmen. And this is just so logical and fitting into both universes... *sighs*
Her hat flops over her eyes sometimes, but you don’t really need to see to dream, do you? This sentence is such a pure win. Printed on the backcover of a book it would make me read the whole thing, just for the joy of encountering it again.
OMG, that so sounds like flattery, doesn't it? But I love this...
*pfffft* You knew what you were getting into when you friended me, woman XD
I'm glad that you think this fit so well... it's going to crossover even more if I get the next bits out. after all, the events in the book didn't happen until a while after 1985, right?
Well, if I ever have time between school and life and such. Mrrrrn. It's ever so annoying, this thing called "studying" >>;
Strangely enough, though, Rorschach flows from my brain pretty damn easily. The problem's going to be making him IC within the parameters I've set out, since god!Rorschach is necessarily different from human!Rorschach.
I am totally stealing that set of asterisks XD That's How I'm feeling right now because of this ozy and eddie fic I wrote.
Also, because I'm lazy and don't see the need for 2 comments to get you the messages I want to type, Jesus. I really love you, hard. And now I need to go read more Gaiman. My exposure to him has been disgustingly limited. -shuffles off to read the other one RIGHT NOW-
Heh, I think I could cross American Gods with just about every fandom anywhere, but I think Watchmen lends itself to the crossover particularly well because the heroes are so archetypal.
Oh hot damn, you, this was just amazing. ♥ ♥ ♥ The interweaving bits of story really sold this, and I love that it was just enough of a 'crossover' to add an additional layer of ooomph without it being obviously in-your-face. Love, all around.
I'm really, amazingly glad that people like the crossover, although now I'm going to be getting more and more paranoid as I write the next chapters of this. oh goodness
