"-Hark the herald angels sing; Glory tooooo the something something king."
Break is still singing at a reasonably volume, demonstrating the musicality of angelic folk in human folklore. His cane taps his way across the ground. He isn't precisely aware of the transition.
He had brought Break along based on the theory if Michael wouldn't answer for Lucifer, he would come when a mortal prayed. The singing didn't even bother him as much as one might think; it was sort of funny, in an ironic way.
"It's a shame you haven't come up with more fitting hymns, then."
He steps up onto a curb and looks down the street. So far, no angels. No decapitated zombies, no splatters on the wall that might once have been zombies.
Here's A Lucifer FOR Lucifer (and company) :DvedransunMay 26 2011, 07:06:47 UTC
Though some of the zombies were handled, and clean-up had already, Trance was going through the cleared parts of the city for the sake of being thorough. That and with the high numbers, there were decent odds that either parts of a zombie were around and having trouble moving, or someone missed an infected body. Neither of which she'd want in the hands of whoever filled the positions on the research labs.
Leaving one of the alleys, seeing unfamiliar back(s) has her slowly putting the handgun away. Unfamiliar, and walking rather calmly meant from the other city. Seemed a bit quick after things calmed down, though...
"Visiting Veles so soon? I didn't think anyone called off the alarm on the network."
Break asks, shifting his weight onto his spare foot so Lucifer is mostly between the two of them. If anyone's going to take a hit from a stranger, it should be the devil.
"They were the sirens a while back, though I suppose the sound doesn't travel to the other city... And all the PCD messages."
In response to the two, she gives half a smile in return. Really it looks more like a friendly smirk. They weren't causing any trouble, yet so there was no reason to be anything but friendly.
"I don't see anywhere else you'd be, outside Adstringendum. Anywhere in particular you wanted to come here for?"
Lucifer was easily the last person Rin ever wanted to see anywhere. The mixture of emotions that came from whenever he saw the angel was enough to make the kid dizzy, but he remembered their last meeting and the words exchanged between them well. So as much as Rin wanted to act, he held his tongue, and balled his fists up as an attempts to keeping control.
"Adstring wasn't enough for you? Or, don't tell me, you're just here for sight seeing?" There's a snarl in his voice, as he looks between the man he didn't recognize and the one he vehemently wanted to oppose.
Break arches his eyebrows. It's his turn to step in front of this bullet, considering how wound up Lucifer is right now and how poorly a fight would be likely to go.
Rin wasn't there to start a fight: he knew better by now. This didn't mean he had to roll over whenever he saw the devil though, it wasn't within his character to do so.
Waving the cane in front of his eyes. He bounces in right away, bright and vivacious and doing his level best to defuse the tension in the moment by any means necessary, including a joke or three at his own expense.
"I suppose I could just be enjoying the trip, though, but I'd use a different expression. I'm also technically looking for someone. Well, listening for someone. It's awfully impractical, but maybe you could help us with that too, Mister-?"

"I take it you don't go to church often."

He chirps, happily.

He realizes then his powers are, well, very dampened. Rather than try to force himself to read her, he smiles.

"That would be a little silly."

"And why's that?"
