Aw yeah, he had been looking forward to this. The day had crept up on him, and it had been a bit of a rush to prepare for everything.

Such is why America would be found jogging over to the appointed meeting area, satchel bouncing off his side, rifle off a shoulder. Like he was going to miss another outing! He looked around eagerly to see if anyone else he knew was going to show.

Sean had heard about the first salvage run, but managed to get too tangled up in other demands to actually get involved with it. This time, though, he was determined to be: a chance to get outside the walls, to see new things, perhaps find something out there.

But it could be said that he seemed, perhaps, wary in his approach. It probably didn't help that he was unarmed; for someone who had spent time with a gun at his side, it was disconcerting. Sean tried not to let himself look overly uncertain, though, as he approached the meeting area.

"Hey there. America, right?" He was fairly sure that they'd met, at some point at least. "You here for the salvage?"

Hearing his name, he grinned and looked over at the man that was heading over, waving brightly. Nothing like a mad-dash in thinking you were going to be late to wake you up. "Heya..!" He tried grasping for a name, and then promptly gave up.

"Yup! I almost forgot about it too!" he admitted, scratching the back of his head. "Ever gone out before?"

He stretches his arms over his head and yawns. He's glad to be going on the trip, but wants to get there already. "Sure is a long way."

Nodding, Blaine cracks his eyes open to look across at the other man. "Sure as hell is. I wish I had a deck of cards."

"What I wouldn't give to play some poker right now," Andrew agrees, shaking his head. He's never been a patient man, and long car rides certainly don't amuse him.

Duo grabbed his improvised nailbat and headed into a particularly deserted looking sector of the city. It looked like it used to be residential, there were apartment buildings, small house, what looked like storefronts. He wasn't sure if there was going to be anything useful there, but he had to look right?

For once he was quiet as he roamed through the streets, keeping his eyes open and trying not to make too much noise. You never really knew what you'd find here, and that included useful goodies as well as zombies.

Blaine had seen the boy walking off to go search in a more deserted part of the small town. Having only known the boy a few weeks, he didn't doubt he could take well enough care of himself, but working in teams always had a higher success rate, even if it's only two to a party. Double the senses meant double the survival rate. The iron rod in his hand swooshed lightly in the air as he spun it twice, and set off after the boy. When he was just outside of range of the bat, he gave a soft, low whistle. It sounded more like an amateurs attempt at a whistle, like when you were first learning and weren't sure how to purse your lips just right. It was really just a warning that he was there, since he wasn't making much noise, if any, and Duo had made no moves to suggest he'd heard him.

Duo was good at all things stealth related (if he did say so himself, and he often did) and had already noticed there was someone following him, so the low whistle didn't surprise him at all. He turned and placed the bat on his shoulder, waving at Blaine like they were old buddies taking a walk in the park.

His tone was light when he spoke, but the volume was pitched down when he spoke. "Hey there Blaine, you come to keep an eye on me?" He was used to working solo, but he didn't mind someone else coming along with him, Blaine might catch something he would miss. Wouldn't be the first time something like that had happened.

He leans back in the truck and scratches his cheek idly, glad to be heading back to Veles if only because the weather still isn't great and the Salvage Run has been awfully cold.

"Anyone find anything good?" he asks to no one in particular.

"Ugh, what a bust!" America sighs, arms draped over his rifle as he sits there across from Andrew. "Didn't run into any zombies this time, but didn't really find much of anything either." He wouldn't mind sticking around a little longer, but going back to the city means the sooner they can get back to work on barbecue pi- "Aw maaan, we still gotta sit through quarantine again, don't we..."

He shrugs and chuckles a little. "Yeah, I guess so. I'd forgotten about that part. I didn't see any zombies either." And he's glad about that, at least. It's not that zombies scare him, not exactly, but after having been bitten by one, he's reluctant to get involved. "Did you find any scrap metal or anything?"
