[Jack's been busy looking for things in the thaw. Mostly pipes, metal, anything that he could get his hands on that could be melted down. He picks up something that looks very deformed, grimaces and tosses it behind him. He finds an old bottle and discards it, shattering it against the wall behind him.]

I don't really know. I was swallowed up by a giant beastie creature called the Kraken then I woke up here some two hundred or more years after. I remember it clear as day though mud seems clearer at the moment.

Still two hundred years too long is enough for me to consider no wages under English rule.
