[A zombie attack on Christmas, how delightful. Frodo had already been in a bit of a funk about the fact that this is the second Yule (for him, as it was early spring in his world when he left) that he's spent away from home. And now this

Just stay indoors, and you'll be fine. I think.

You're...going out?

[He shrugs, still headed for the door.]

You seem troubled, Frodo. Not that I can apportion blame for such, given the circumstances, but...
[She crosses to sit beside him, placing one hand on his shoulder. That hand now bears the ring of her brothe Finrod Felagund; she knows not how it came to be here but would recognise it from any distant dream.]
If such are not unknown in this realm, then I am sure that the people here will know how to deal with them.
[She, too, wishes that there was a sword at her side. It has been long since she has not carried one, and she feels somehow bare without it.]

I find I am troubled more often than not, as of late. Though I suppose it is less out of fear, for as you said those here must know how to react to such...intruders.
[He'll sigh softly, resisting the childlike urge to swing his legs impatiently, frustration at his lack of fighting ability welling up inside him.] This irritation is born of a feeling of...uselessness, I suppose.

[Artanis is far from the Lady Galadriel that Frodo does and will one day know. She removes her hand from Frodo's shoulder again, the contact restored.]
Then again, I suspect that either you or I would have much to learn before we could truly consider facing such as they speak of.
[She thinks nothing of Frodo's talk of fighting. The act of war and bloodshed may be new to her people and her world, but there are few or none who do not know of it, and in pursuing Morgoth all knew that they had committed themselves to more dark and violent days.]
((OoC: I have this urge to threadjack the thread below just to really cause some mindfucking...))

[He'll offer a bit of an apologetic smile.] I am afraid, my lady, that you have made the acquaintance of a particularly impatient hobbit.

What the hell is this shit?
-=Even though he doesn't have that creeper feeling going on, he still looks intimidating.=-
Stay inside while the zombies do... what. What could they do outside in the snow? Can they even dig through snow? Are these things super intelligent, hyper speed, jump across buildings to eat your face off zombies? Fuck knows, I know I don't-because I can't go out and see! -=a thump of his fist against the wall by the door makes the guards turn and give him a baleful look=-
-=Kohl promptly scowls and flips them off. They turn away with a laugh, which just infuriates him more.=-
Assholes.
-=What hobbit? We haven't noticed him yet in our little temper tantrum=-

....are you all right?

No, of course I'm not alright. If I were alright, do you think I'd be bitching at the wall and ultimately at those 'tards out there? Have you seen any zombies around here? No. I think it's all one giant conspiracy just to keep us on our toes. And I'm not even going to start about the food. I don't know what the hell they're feeding us, but it's not food. I can't get home--I don't even know how the hell I got here. There are signs, however that either myself or one of my brothers or...shit me up a pole, The Original was here, and as luck would have it, I'm bunking in the same place as he was. Where the hell did they go? Did they get sent back or were they stuck away in some corner in the city here, forced to do terrible things? No one knows. No one really cares to know, either.
-=Turns around, scowling, and then grunts.=-
And to top it off, I'm talking to Elijah Wood.
