Asuna had absolutely no idea where she was walking.
Kotarou had vanished from Adstringendum. The small little family she had come to get used to was no longer totally whole -- and, really, all she wanted to do was to just get her mind off of Kotarou's absence and find something to do in the meantime that didn't involve ignoring the inevitable.
So, Asuna did what Asuna did best -- get herself into trouble.
Veles seemed like a pretty good opportunity to get that done, right?
"Damn Animus," Asuna muttered, as she crossed the threshold into the new city, her hands shoved deep into her pockets, her fingers brushing against her Pactio card, just in case she needed to defend herself.
