oh, my canon powershot g4 comes with software (PhotoStitch) that will do the matching for you. so all i have to do is take the pics (there's a panorama mode that you have to use), then use the software to stitch them together. you're supposed to use a tripod to get nice straight edges, but i didn't have one at the time.
