I really enjoyed the bathing motif and this long, full view of Minerva's life. I'm glad that she comes full-circle, back to Augusta where she began. I like the Rolanda relationship, too.

The bath motive works fine, and I must say I find the Rolanda relationship believable, too. And I loved all the details about daily life at Hogwarts. The hiring of Sybill, Snape's ability in Potions and his decided lack of teaching skills. They are all so realistic and give such density to your story.

A great performance!

Such a satisfying story... that we get to hear it all: from before the break-up until after the reconciliation and the long times in between ... ♥

I like a story that takes the long view, as this one does, and as Minerva does, here.

The dynamic you painted between Augusta, Frank, and Minerva was believable and interesting, and the breakup was all the more painful for it.

The way Minerva watches Augusta's life from the seeming sidelines is nicely wrought--loved the glimpses of young Frank and then Neville.

Your Minerva/Rolanda was eminently believable, too--a pair of practical witches, they--and tender in its way.

Nicely done!

The transition between a younger, more insecure Minerva and the strict teacher she became in her attempt to cope with her broken relationship was really well described. The rigidity she brought into her Hogwarts life was given believable reasons. Thank you!
