Thank you for this beautiful story! It's been a sweet, lovely relationship to read developing. Can't wait for the epilogue.

Thank you for this story. You brought Dave & Brian to life for me and as sad & bittersweet as their relationship was (or what we imagine it was) - the chance for a love like that, for someone who understands and belongs to you like that gives me hope and joy.

And the amount of depth that you brought to "your" Kurt and Blaine. Exploring Kurt's feelings about his past, his future, his father, his work... everything. I think it would be interesting if you wrote the story from Blaine's point of view - what he thought when he first saw Kurt, how he felt when they didn't work out at first. It seems like there is so much more there yet to tell.

You did such good job with all of the characters and I can't wait to read the other parts that are still to come. Kudos to you and I hope you write more soon :-)

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed Kurt's characterization - I'll admit, I worked hard on that! It's incredibly gratifying to hear that it paid off.

I made the decision pretty early on to make this a solely Kurt-POV story; I've done multiple POVs in the past, but for something this long, I really wanted to see if I could tell Kurt's story entirely from his perspective, and *show* Blaine's story and development through Kurt's eyes as well. To that end - while I know what Blaine's thinking and doing 99% of the time, it's unlikely I'd go back and write things from his perspective. Blah blah blah, artistic writerly reasons, etc :) BUT I am so pleased that you felt invested enough to want to see more.

Basically, thank you SO MUCH for reading, and for commenting :) I'm so glad you enjoyed it <3

You nearly had me there, along with Kurt. In one of my reviews, I mentioned you as writer trusting your readers so much that you left a great deal up to us to figure out. Well, I just about didn't trust YOU, and literally held my breath as I was reading most of this final chapter. You kept the line between Brian/David and Kurt/Blaine so thin and tightly wound that there were many instances when I thought, "My gosh, she's going to bring them to some sort of unwanted end!" Well, you didn't and all I can say is, bravo! I absolutely loved this piece. I cannot say enough about the intelligence with which it was written. I hope you go on to write many more stories, and I look forward to each one.

Thank you, so much, again, and as always :) I'm delighted in an evil way that you were on edge at the end, though really - I love angst and complicated emotions and making people cry (and I do) I am also the endgamiest endgamer to ever endgame, and I love happy endings. This was never not going to end happily for Kurt and Blaine :). Thank you so much for all of your kind words and encouragement throughout this! <3

I, too, love reading fics with complex emotional elements. A certain percentage of angst is almost essential without going overboard as some writers do (angst for the sake of angst) and you had just enough, as I said, to keep me on the edge of my seat! I am all about endgame for these two. It was my pleasure to review such excellent writing. I feel it's the least I can do if I enjoy something so much.

This was just lovely. At first I was a little thrown by the way the storylines jumped back and forth but I came to love how their relationships developed in tandem. It was heartbreaking knowing that Dave and Brian wouldn't make it but so glorious that Kurt and Blaine did. I'm so happy they didn't have to fight and break up only to reunite as so many stories do, but moved seamlessly into love in the most perfect way. I'm looking forward to the epilogue and really wishing that the novel of Dave and Brian was real.

Thank you! Navigating the Kurt/Blaine-Dave/Brian lines was tricky, but so much fun, and I'm so glad you enjoyed watching it. And god knows I have written my share of break-up-and-make-up fics, but with G.I. I did want to try something new, and make a story, as much as I could, that was really about Kurt and Blaine navigating a relationship and the world, together. So glad you enjoyed the results!

As for the novel - oh how I wish it was real too.

Thank you for reading, and thank you so much for such a lovely comment! <3
