Hey! So, I was wondering if after you've made these wrist warmers, you could fill me in on anything tricky about the pattern. Because Taiwan gets cold during winter, and I think those would be perfect for me! And I figure if I start them in September, I might have them done by the time winter starts. I knit really slow...
I'm almost done with the potholders I started months ago. I think it's because I go really long gaps when I don't knit that I take so long! But after the potholders, I'm going to start on a scarf. Hopefully, there won't be any problems!
Sure thing! I'm writing up the chart now and will post it as soon as it's done.
I am a fairly slow knitter myself. It just so happens that the last few projects I made weren't complicated. I bet it will take me ages to finish a cabled sweater or anything larger than a scarf!
You are awesome! Although I might have lots of questions because I think this is the most complicated thing I've ever knitted.
I've never used DPNs before. Is it just like knitting with straight ones, only with another side? I think I saw that you are using Alpacha (?) wool because it's softer, right?
When I start that scarf it's going to be in the round, so it should be interesting! I will let you know how it goes. When I *finally* finish the potholders I think I will take a picture.
Seriously, do not be afraid of DPNs. I was at first but once you start knitting, you hardly notice it. Yes, they're just like straight needles but both ends are pointy. You just need to be careful when working as your work might slip off the other end!
I started with hats and scarves too, but I have yet to knit up one for each member of my family. Scarves tend to take a long time because of the length.
Yeah, the wood DPNs cost more. I hear that bamboo DPNs are good.

Yes, please post photos of the potholders!

So far I've only figured out how to knit scarves and hats. In fact I'm knitting one right now for a little cousin of mine.
I only have a set of wood DPNs, I really like using the wood ones. Too bad they are so expensive.
