:D

The few reviews that I read all hated it. They were disappointed to the point of depression. But hey, to each his own.

Just bear in mind that it can be a bit graphic and gross.

Just like real life, huh? Graphic and gross. ;)

The stuff in Tanzania is just horrible. And there seems to be no end to it in sight.

I liked the concept, but thought it took far too long to get going.

I loooooooved that movie. (Except for the black-oil barf scenes. Bit icky, those.)

I loved how exhausted the alien looked at the end; you couldn't help but see him not only as a person but as a worried parent who has been through utter hell to protect his child.

I also loved how intense the protagonist got at the end--how raw and obvious his determination to not give up was. That actor had never done any serious acting before the film and he was so awesome! His facial expressions were so convincing.

So, um, in summary--I concur! Great movie. :-D

You hit it all right on the head, yes you did. About the protagonist and about Chris the alien. *applause* :D

And about the black-oil barf. *hurkhh!*

I'll look for it. I'm not too concerned about the science working in SF, but about the exploration of human nature from a tilted perspective. Yeah. I'll watch this.
