Good old Dom and his 'environmentally conscious' self - wanting an artificial tree instead of a live one. Personally, I'm partial to live trees myself - the smell of fresh pine just can't be beat.

Love the romantic banter between these two - it shows how far their relationship has progressed over the course of a year. Dom is beginning to assert himself more and more, even in small ways - a far cry from the person he was months ago.

I've never had a real tree, but I've been to places that do, so I know the aroma. It's tempting to have one, just once, but my building doesn't allow live trees. Fire hazard. Oh well.

That's gonna come up a lot, wont it. It's not about reciprocation. It's about really being partners, in every way possible. I love them learning to understand and find the balance in that, whether it be working in the book shop, cooking or sex.
