This has to be a joke. Please tell me this is a joke or a distortion. Even the fucking Bush administration isn't this out of touch.

God. I can't believe they don't realize how fucking dangerous that is.

And also they're forcing Creationism on children now. Why not teach both and let them make up their own minds?

Seriously, this administration and this congress terrify me.

By both, of course, I mean evolution and creationism. Braindead today. While they're at it, why not teach theories from other religions? Ugh.

I'm a Christian, even, and I heartily disagree with this.

"why not teach theories from other religions"

Because that would threaten their own beliefs... seeing as how they obviously aren't very strong if something as minor as another's beliefes threatens them so much.

That made no sense. I need more coffee to wake up.

might as well hand out baseball bats to the jock kids after they put those two points together
I dunno, if they think all gay males have HIV cooties in all of their bodily fluids, the last thing they're going to want to do is risk causing those bodily fluids to leak out onto them...

Yeah, but my experience with ignorant jocks is that they like to hit things that they don't like.
And gay teenagers are high on that list.

It wasn't until 1997 that the Vatican admitted that the Earth, is in fact, round.

Wow.

Then again, inter-racial marriage was just legalised in Alabama (or was it Georgia?).. one of those states just a few years ago, if mememory serves...

The Vatican could be much more advanced. However, due to the assassination of Pope John Paul I, the Catholic Church is no further advanced then it was 200 years ago. John Paul I was in favor of birth control (as early as the 60's!), and reforming the Catholic Church. He was a much loved, and actually had the every advancment (Deacon, Bishop, Cardinal, and even Pope!) forced upon him. Even I, an avowed hater of the Church, admire and respect him. The Church wouldn't be in the state it is in today if some greedy fuckers hadn't iced him.
