Still a trainee, as I just got in last Tuesday, but hopefully I'll get to move up to Soprano 1 soon if I train hard enough. I dunno about the old Willy Wonka movie since I've never seen it, but the new one's perfectly fine. Comparing it against the scenes you've described, that is. No hostage scenes, for one thing. It's a feel-good type of movie. (kung mababaw lang kaligayahan mo, and are easily emotionally affected, like I am)

And it's Johnny Depp! That's a good enough reason to watch it, IMO. :3
