Yay new faucet! It's very pretty, even if it was a pain to put in.

You've got a lot more patience and perseverance that I do. Once my supply of wrenches, pliers, etc. failed to dislodge the nut, I'd be putting in a call to the plumber. (And have a few times, for recalcitrant nuts on both sinks and toilets.)
