A pump has been obtained. Apparently the Depot was open all night selling freshly received pumps and other accoutrements. $242 later I have a sump pump, 2 x 25' of 1¼ tubing, and a shiny, new 9 gallon shop-vac ( Read more... )

I was worrying about you this morning when NPR was talking about all of the flooding.

All things considered it isn't too bad for me. I'm not near one of the rivers and the water is clean. I know of people who got sewage. I don't think anything of value was irreparably damaged. We'll see. I was fortunate in that this past weekend I decided to urethane the project I've been working on, so the two cabinets were up on saw horses out of harms way.
