That's dramatic and sobering.

My mind keeps trying to make it FX, or CGI, or something artificially created, and not part of something that's happening essentially down the road from me.

Sobering was the word I was groping around when I first saw it.

I saw that yesterday on sfgate.com and it was really, really sobering.

As I said to serenada, sobering was exactly the word I was looking for.

It's a dramatic and shudderingly sobering image--the sort of thing Cameron was going for in T2 when the playground swings were swaying in the atomic blast wave, and ablaze. This is even more chilling though, because it's real.
