Hello, everyone who still happens to be watching this comm! It's been a while!

Recently fauxkaren and I have been talking about possibly resuscitating this comm sometime soon. Before we start going around promoting, though, I figured it might be a good idea to get some feedback from the people who were around last time, if any of you care to oblige

I would be very interested in doing a re-watch. Back in the heyday of D/R a bunch of us used to get on AIM chat and watch an episode and live chat. Now I know we couldn't do that, but I like the idea of picking a date and time and some of us watching at the same time and posting our thoughts. Just an idea. :)

Livechats are fun, although I'm not sure how easy they would be to organize. But certainly if people want to do them amongst themselves that'd be great. I remember last time we did "Rose" and "End of Time" in a big group chat, but I don't think that ended up happening with many of the others. Hmmmm.

I could be remembering this totally wrong -- but last time were there fic rec posts for each episode? I might be thinking of BSG rewatch...... Anyway, maybe we could do something like that?

I think another rewatch would be great fun.

Do you mean like a "rec any fic you have relating to this episode" post? We didn't do that last time, but that's something we could definitely do if it's something people would like.

We could also just do a post for people rec any fannish thing related to the episode- like gifsets on tumblr or fanvids or meta.

I wasn't hear for the last wave of rewatching, but it all looked good (especially the polls and cage matches, lol)! Would it go back to the beginning or just do s6?

And hmm, that could be cool, might motivate me more to watch s7, lol...

Oh we'd be going back to the beginning. That's the stuff we like most! And for a lot of people it's the stuff they haven't seen in a long time.

I wasn't able to join the fun the last time around due to work, but I have a suggestion for this round:

Can we watch some ~Classic Who~ in between New Who episodes?

Ohhh that's something to think about.

I'm not very familiar with Classic Who so I wouldn't even know what serials would be good to use, or anything. If we did that I guess we could do a call-out for suggestions? There's also not any serials really that would be "rewatches" for me -- I mean I've seen some but I don't remember them exceedingly well -- so coming up with discussion questions would be hard. I'd probably have to outsource. On the other hand fauxkaren has seen a lot more Classic Who than I have, so she might be familiar enough with it to do something like that.

I agree with voting/some kind of consensus on which ones to watch. There's so many to choose from and so many possible favorites. Some would be a rematch for me, and others would be fresh.

Maybe we could do one Classic Who serial in between each New Who series?

I WOULD MAKE EVERYONE WATCH "THE HAPPINESS PATROL" BECAUSE IT IS MY FAVORITE. And then we could also watch "The Five Doctors" with the David Tennant commentary, if I can find it. Because that commentary is gr8.
