Just stopping to note before I hit episode select - this is the best DVD menu music ever. Every other DVD menu gets horribly annoying after awhile, but Flavia + random TARDIS noises? I could listen to that forever

And Rose goes straight for the cat! And Ten hangs back, making a face, and is this the first time they've met a cat since New Earth, cos she's surprised by his reaction. Couldn't be, could it?
I think most of his damage there was that Rose was cooing at the kitty and not him.
Interesting, though, she's all "What's the matter with you?" not "You don't like cats?" meaning either she's like me in the not comprehending how anyone could not go straight for the patting when there's a feline in range, or she knows that Nine liked cats...
Maybe a bit of both. And hey, she saw the dark side of the cat nuns, too, and it didn't dim her enjoyment of cats at all.
He doesn't object when he thinks she's calling him a "cute little boy".
I always heard it as 'beautiful boy', but I guess she was saying cute little. Maybe the Doctor misheard her, too? Little boy is extra inappropriate given his age.
That's... uh... if the girl I was in love with called me a "cute little girl" I'd be a bit affronted, actually.Yeah, not really the image one

Yes, but that wasn't in her first couple of days of being her... I mean... she's 19, 20, whatever, she's been a cat person all that time, a bad experience with them here and there isn't gonna change much, never did for me.
But... I dunno. Eight used to count his age from that Terrible Horrible No-Good Very Bad Day in San Francisco, so by that argument you could say Ten was really only a couple of days old when he met them, so, um, formative experiences and all...

Others are quoting it as "beautiful" as well, but I heard "cute little". "Beautiful boy" in that tone, though, is still a bit patronising if you're
